Research
Since 1997 I started as a Research Technician in the Tumor Immunology group under supervision of Prof. Ferry Ossendorp. In my work I mainly focus on the immunotherapy of cancer. The battle against cancer has gradually shifted towards personalized medicine where treatment modalities such as neoantigens, immune checkpoint blockers and small molecule inhibitors come into play.
Curriculum vitae
After studying Medical Microbiology at the College of Higher Education in Venlo I studied Biology at the University of Nijmegen. A nine month internship at the Department of Cell Biology under supervision of Prof. Joop van Zoelen developed my interest in cancer research and I feel privileged and motivated to explore potential new cancer treatments at the LUMC in the coming years.
