RESEARCH

My main research interest lies in the field of combining immunology and oncology. I currently work on the TiMaScan project that focuses on the monocyte-macrophage system as a tool for early diagnostics in cancer. At present I am involved in the study of the monocyte-macrophage system across different tissues, in steady-state and cancer, employing cellular immunology techniques, such as high-end flow cytometry (≥25 colors) or cell culture, among others. For me, this project encourages me to develop my technical research skills and it fulfills my personal interest of working on the improvement of healthcare.
