About the T-Cell Regulation group

Our ambition is to improve immunotherapy by studying the molecular and cellular regulation of T cell responses.

The work is performed in two interrelated themes.

1. Decoding T cell immunity

2. Understanding and improving T cell-based immunotherapy

To advance immunotherapy to cancer and infectious disease, we need to understand the formation of T cell immunity. We focus on understanding the underlying principles how costimulatory and inhibitory molecules cooperate and how they program T cells. The gained knowledge of these receptors as well as their signal transduction and metabolic pathways will be employed for biomarker discovery and enhancement of immunotherapies.
