David van der Zwan
Research
In August 2020, I started as a research technician in the T cell regulation research group of Ramon Arens. The main goal of my research is to enhance tumor-specific T-cell responses. Specifically, I develop new methods to test the efficacy of novel antibody-based reagents to activate CD4 and CD8 T cells. In addition, I aim to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of how these antibodies stimulate T cells.
Curriculum vitae
After studying Medical Microbiology at the Hogeschool Utrecht I obtained a Master degree in Biomedial Sciences, with specializations infectious disease and immunology, at the Free University in Amsterdam. At the laboratory of Sanquin, Amsterdam, I worked on analyzing the heterogeneity of human T cells. Currently, I develop assays in he group of Ramon Arens to inform T-cell based immunotherapy.
