Curriculum Vitae
After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Utrecht in 2021, I continued with the master Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences at the same University. My first master internship was in the lab of Prof. Dr. Frank van Kuppeveld, under the supervision of Dr. Xander de Haan, where I investigated the Fc-dependent protective efficacy of monoclonal antibodies that target influenza A neuraminidase. For my second internship, I joined Prof. Dr. Stephan Urban's group at the University Hospital in Heidelberg, focusing on the induction of interferon responses by the human hepatitis D virus and HDV-like agents from various animal species. In between these research internships, I also explored the field of science communication by doing an internship at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave. There, I examined the target audience for a prospective new life sciences section of the museum. After obtaining my MSc degree, I joined the lab of Annemarthe van der Veen in October 2024 as a PhD student.
