Research technician
I provide technical and experimental support for PhD candidates and other scientific staff in the group working on dendritic cell biology and tumor immunology. I mainly work together with PhD candidate Karel van Leeuwen, whose research focuses on cDC-based immunotherapy strategies. I contribute to the development and routine implementation of experimental platforms for the handling, culture, functional analysis, and ex vivo modification of primary human dendritic cells and T cells, enabling workflows to study dendritic cell function.
In 2016, I started my studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Leiden. During my Bachelor’s program, I completed a nine-month internship at Erasmus MC in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, in the group of Dr. Boonstra.
After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in August 2020, I joined the Immunology Department at LUMC as a research technician in the group of Prof. Arens, where I worked on SARS-CoV-2–related projects. In February 2025, I joined the group of Dr. Xiao, where I am currently working as a research technician.
