The lab works at the interface of immunology, oncology, and technology development, in close interaction with clinical and industry partners. We place emphasis on the development of human-based models and on training students and researchers in interdisciplinary cancer immunology.
About the Dendritic Cell Biology & Tumor Immunology Group
The Xiao lab focuses on human tumor immunology with a translational orientation. Our work examines how dendritic cells regulate anti-tumor T-cell responses and how these mechanisms can be studied in human-relevant experimental systems.
