Curriculum vitae

In 1993 I graduated at the MLO Leiden with specialization clinical chemistry. I started working at the Blood Bank Leiden where my tasks were: the preparation of different blood products such as blood platelet transfusions, intra-uterine transfusions and performing phenotyping of red blood cells. In between I did several courses at the HLO in Leiden and in I obtained a certificate for Immunology at the HLO in Nijmegen.
In 1999 I started working in the HLA laboratory in Leiden at the department of immunohematology and Blood Bank (IHB). Here I started as a technician performing serological and DNA typing for transplantation purposes. Currently I am working as one of the senior technicians responsible for everything that comes with the daily organization of the HLA laboratory and support of projects.
