This project focuses on developing an advanced application system and its utilization for microneedle-based cancer immunotherapy (immune checkpoint therapy). The core of the project is twofold: first, to develop application technology that can accurately deliver microneedle patches into human skin. The focus lies on immunotherapeutic treatment of skin cancers like melanoma, although the applicator will ultimately be designed to apply several kinds of microneedle patches onto the human skin, thus creating a platform technology that will revolutionize immunotherapeutics administration.
