At the conference, postdoctoral researcher Rachel Quilang presented her talk titled “Characterization of Maternal Microchimeric Cells in Umbilical Cord Blood by HLA-Targeted Spectral Flow Cytometric Cell Sorting.” She was honored with the Best Oral Presentation in Basic Sciences award, which included a monetary prize sponsored by the Journal of Reproductive Immunology.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to present on this lesser-known topic of microchimerism to the international reproductive immunology community, and I’m grateful for the recognition and support,” said Quilang.
The research is supported by the John Templeton Foundation.
