Every year, the Dutch Society of Microbiology (KNVM) awards three prizes for the best applied sciences bachelor’s theses in the field of microbiology. Amongst this year’s recipients is Jasper de Wolf. Jasper receives the prize for his thesis describing the transcriptional regulation of small non-coding vault RNAs in viral infection. Jasper conducted this research during his internship in the group of Annemarthe van der Veen, where he is now working as a research technician. The prize was awarded during the KNVM/NVMM Scientific Spring Meeting.
