Ilse Gille wins Jon van Rood Award

During the 35th annual conference of the European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) PhD student Ilse Gille has been awarded the Jon van Rood Award for the best presentation during the best abstracts session.

Ilse Gille wins Jon van Rood Award

Ilse presented her work on a novel approach to target HLA-specific B cells in the context of solid organ transplantation, making use of Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cell technology. The aim of this work is to lower the immunological barrier for patients to receive a compatible organ transplant. This project is funded by the Dutch Kidney Foundation and is a collaborative effort between the departments of Immunology and Hematology, supervised by Sebastiaan Heidt and Mirjam Heemskerk.
