Dr. Annemarthe van der Veen Awarded the Prestigious LUMC C.J. Kok Prize

Dr. Annemarthe van der Veen has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the distinguished LUMC C.J. Kok Prize. This annual award honors outstanding young established researchers whose scientific contributions have made a significant impact within the institute.

This year's prize recognizes the excellent work of Dr. van der Veen and her team on nucleic acids in innate immunity, with a particular focus on their role in viral recognition and sterile inflammation. 

The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 18 November in the Buruma Lecture Hall, where Mw. Prof. Margreet Kloppenburg presented the prize to Dr. van der Veen. It was a wonderful moment of recognition and celebration of Dr. van der Veen and her team.
