Curriculum vitae

In 2011, I graduated as nutritionist and immunologist from Wageningen University. Subsequently, I performed my PhD studies at the Cell Biology and Immunology department of Wageningen University, including half a year postdoc period at the Institute of Food Research (now part of the Quadram Institute) in Norwich, UK in 2015-2016. I defended my PhD thesis ‘The aging immune system and dietary interventions’ in 2017. Meanwhile, from 2016, I performed research at the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the Erasmus University Medical Center. This research focused on the search for new targets for treatment of colorectal and hepatocellular carcinoma, such as GITR (CD357) and OX40 (CD134).

In 2021, I finished the three-year-training for laboratory specialist medical immunology at the Erasmus University Medical Center, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), and Reinier de Graaf hospital (Delft). As of 2021, I work as a laboratory specialist medical immunology at the HLA laboratory of the LUMC. My main focus at the HLA laboratory is on stem cell transplantation.
